#StopWatchingNola was created out of necessity, after the city installed an undisclosed number of 1,500 total cameras in the city of New Orleans—despite many objections from residents—more are being put up everyday. This is not only a violation of privacy, and in some cases the 4th amendment, but also enables the city to unfairly track and target people under the guise of ‘security’.

Additionally, there are no accessible maps of surveillance camera locations which speaks to the city’s lack of transparency about the subject. We firmly believe that New Orleans residents deserve to know where the cameras are, what they are being used for, and who is using them.

Have you noticed a camera in your area? If yes, please click the plus (+) sign at the top right of the map and add the camera’s location. Snap a photo if possible (not available for form submission).

If you would prefer to submit via form, click here.
Submissions will be reviewed before being added to the map. Thank you for your time!
